It has pedals, handlebars and seat just like a regular bike without the worry of balancing. Sturdy and light weight it easily folds for storage. Plus it is easy to attach to your bike. One review said you need about an inch and a half space under your Bicycle Seat for the attachment and you need 26″ wheels to make sure the pedals don’t drag on turns for the tandem.
Another review recommended the add on of a backrest which they had purchase in order to take along their 3 year old. It is recommended for children 2-5 years. The attachment needs an open space of 25.44 mm to use the backrest attachment and is designed specifically for the Trail-A-Bike tandem trailer.
