are these good prices?
i am almost 16 years old and i have a very supple knowledge of bicycle repair. i plan on opening a repair shop in my garage and sending ads at the local recreation center ad bulletin. so, i was wondering, are these good prices for service (charges at the LBS are in parentheses)
1-derailleur and brake adjustment, tightening of loose parts, and a chain lube $10.00 ($30.00)
2-all of 1, and removal and cleaning of major parts $30.00 ($50.00)
3-TOTAL disassembly of bike, hub overhaul, tune-up of all pieces, and individual cleaning $80.00 ($150.00)
are these ok prices?
PS- i know the bike shop is overpriced, but it is the only professional bike shop in my city
The prices from your lbs isn’t THAT over priced. 1 and 2 are decent prices for the labor involved. The overhaul i would agree is pretty expensive (150). Your prices seem to be great – fair. Good luck on your business venture!
