Since the tandem bicycles are heavier than your standard bike it will need a sturdier kickstand. The kickstand pictured at the left has extra long legs. These legs can be cut to fit for your bike, be sure to measure carefully so you don’t cut them too short or they will be ruined.
The legs are bolted to the bike at the center on the left side and when you kick them down the legs spread left and right and then will fold up when kicked back up. The product description states the double kickstand for heavy bikes will hold up to 130 pounds.
One reviewer said he used on his bike at 90 pounds loaded with no problems. Several other comments remarked on the great design and quality of this sturdy kickstand.
