Chopper Tricycle
Building Materials for a “big Wheel”?
Does anyone remember the Big Wheel toys (chopper style tricycle for kids like 5-7ish) from the late 80′s, early 90′s?
I’ve recently decided I wanted to make one (adult sized) figuring it would be fun, and a good form of excercise. The only problem is, I’ve NO idea where to get parts. It’s going to be made from wood (yeah, I know… not the best material… but I don’t know any welders), and my main concern is wheels, and the front pedals (which wont be attached to a chain to pedal, like most tricycles). I’m also worried about where to find proper axles for the wheels and such. Anyone know where (online, or stores in the Ottawa area) I can find some of the things mentioned here, or things that could be helpful to building a wooden “big wheel” ?
