Bicycle Training Video
Core training?
So I’v read that crunches really don’t do anything for your core.
Since I bicycle (Not racing cycling, but usually around 7-14 mph) almost everday on my mountain bike (Been doing so for four weeks straight so far), I realized that strong core muscles are necesarry.
So which excercises are out there? Please know that I’m pretty much broke, so I can’t buy videos, go to classes, buy equipment etc…
Would the motions of swinging a baseball bat help?
Since you ride your bike alot – ride it to a local park. Get on the monkey bars or find a chin-up bar and hang down from it – then bend your knees and pull them up to your chest (or as high as you can go) This will work your core abdominals as well as the lower abs (the ones that cause the belly pooch) You can even twist to the sides for a tighter waitline. This would be great to do after you’ve warmed up bike riding….good luck!
