Bike Umbrella
Things to desensitize horse with?
I have tried foam noodles, tarps, balloons, pedestals, bridges, milk jugs, aluminum cans, hula hoops, bikes, and umbrellas. I need to find some other things that will build his confidence and reduce the things he is scared of.
Basically anything and everything that you can think of. Some things include plastics, empty dog/cat food bags, bull whips (if used correctly, they make a sound like a gun going off), other whips whistling through the air (a lot of horses don’t like the whistling sound that thin whip like objects can make), clapping, jumping, you running at your horse, rattles, machinery such as tractors and 4-wheelers, tools such as drills or saws, clippers, flags, pounding/stomping noises, ropes, barrels, different surfaces such as pavement/cement, water and garden hoses, things being thrown around them or dropped, waving, jumping jacks, pots and pans banging, music such as your own singing or a radio, noise and motions of shaking out rugs, other small animals such as dogs or sheep or calves, etc.
Also, cracking/snapping noises such as breaking a tree branch.
