Bike Panniers
How do I transport a pair of Bicycle Wheels by bike?
I’m building a new wheelset for a new bike, and I need to transport it to and from the bike co-op where I am building it up, but I need to be able to carry it with my current bike. I don’t have panniers, and I don’t have a bag large enough to carry them. Is there some sort of trick I can use to attach them to my back?
Get a backpack that has some provision to attach rope or zip ties or bungees…..something. Tie the wheels together at 2 or 3 points around the rim so they don’t flop around or get scratched, and then tie the package to the backpack somehow. Seems like this would be reasonably stable and protect your skin, although it isn’t the most fashionable thing to do.
