Bike Air Pump
My bike’s front tire was deflated but when I try to pump it up, it loses the air in seconds?
I hear the air leaving through the tire-rim connection. How do I fix this?
The tube (which is the rubber bladder that holds air inside your tire) has most likely gone flat. This is normal and can happen often with older tubes.
You’ll need to go to a bike shop and buy a new tube. Bring the wheel (or entire bike) with you so you can choose the right size tube. The tube should cost around $5. If you want, you can have the bike shop install it for you (for $5 – $20) or you can install it yourself.
If you install it yourself, make sure to check the inner wall of the tire for anything sharp that could have caused the flat in the first place.
