3. Let us let ra be the radius of bottle a and rb be the radius of bottle b, Va the volume of bottle a, Vb the volume of bottle b, ha the height of bottle a, and hb the height of bottle b.

We know:

Va = π*ra²*ha
Vb = π*rb²*hb
ra = 2*rb
hb = 2*ha

If we take the ratios of the volumes of the two bottles, we get

Vb / Va = (rb²*hb) / (ra²*ha)
