Bicycle Times And Speed
Can a bicycle cop take down your license plate number and ticket you for speeding the next time they see you?
I was leaving school when a university police officer on a bicycle saw me speeding. He was obviously unable to do anything about it because he was on a bike, but he stopped and got on his police radio. I assume he was reporting my license plate number and car and driver description. Since I have class everyday, I am on campus all the time. It is a relatively small parking lot and I drive an unmistakable car which draws a great deal of attention. Of course I will drive extra careful and slow when I’m on campus from now on, but what do I have to worry about his taking down my license plate number?
