How do I install a water bottle holder on a bicycle?
I have gotten a new bike, but it does not have a water bottle holder, nor room for one in the standard position. How can I install a holder somewhere else on the bike?
Hm. If it is a NEW bike there should be at least one set of water bottle mounts. Look on the downtube- underneath the bike.
On the other hand if it is a discount store bike it may not have mounts. You can either attach it with cable ties or have water bottle mounts added. Just make sure it won’t get in the way of suspension or other things. This is easily done by drilling holes and using pop rivet type threaded inserts. Takes about 10 minutes.
