Is riding a bicycle a good way to lose weight?
Here are some questions I have. Is riding a bicycle a good way to lose weight? How many calories to you burn an hour? How many pounds would you lose if you rode a bicycle for 1 hour every day for a week? A month? How many calories do you have to burn to lose 1 pound? Answer as many as possible, thank you.
Bicycling is a good aerobic exercise, making sure you get your heart rate up to the target zone. In my opinion drug free cyclists are some of the best athletes around.
By my calculations you burn approx 25-30 calories per mile. So if you can ride ten to 15 miles per hour then you can burn 250-450 calories per hour.
One pound is 3500 calories.
