What is the best bicycling magazine to subscribe to?
I am a 42 year-old woman who is building up to riding 30 miles a day. I own a mountain bike because that’s what I have — I can’t afford a new bike right now. I rode 26 miles today on flat paved roads and feel pretty good. Anyway, what is the best bicycling magazine for me to subscribe to? Thanks.

Bicycling Magazine is good for novice riders, but you’ll soon notice alot of repetition, the same article on “How To Get Fit Fast!!!” every spring.

As a piece of unsolicited advice, if you plan on riding your bike mostly on the road, look into replacing your tires with a set of high pressure slicks if you have not already. You’ll be able to ride farther, faster, and longer, due to the decreased rolling resistance. Something like these:

Get the 1 inch wide version, they handle higher pressure and generally perform better. It will feel like a new bike!!
